Uncle George had a party Saturday night to show off the apartments. Only a few people had seen them since they were renovated, so the party was a big deal.

The Riverwalk is amazing. All through dinner last night, I looked out over the bridge and just enjoyed the whole thing. People coming and going, the mariachi band serenading people in a nearby restaurant with tunes like La Bamba, happy voices wafting up from the river and a gentle, calm breeze.

The biggest news this week in the realm of archaeology were the results of the Tutankhamun study. I’d read a few weeks ago that Dr. Hawass was planning a big announcement, but I wasn’t sure just what he was going to announce.
